Applications:

1. In the printing and dyeing industry, the industrial grade anhydrous sodium sulfite is used as a deoxidizer and bleaching agent in the scouring of various kinds of cotton fabrics, which can prevent the localization of cotton fibers thus avoid affecting the fiber strength, and increase the whiteness of scouring materials;

2. In the photosensitive industry, it is used as a developer;

3. In the organic industry, it serves as a reducing agent in the production of m-phenylenediamine, 2,5-dichloropyrazolone, indole-1-sulfonic acid,1-aminoanthraquinone, and amino salicylate to prevent the oxidation of semi-finished products during reaction;

4. In the paper making industry as a lignin removal agent;

5. In the textile industry a stabilizer for man-made fibers;

6. In the electronics industry, it is applied for manufacturing photosensitive resistors;

7. In the water treatment industry, it is applied in the treatment of electroplating waste water and drinking water.
